Students will also have uninterrupted access to the online programs that were available to them throughout the school year, including Lexia, IXL math, and other online resources. You can log into your child’s account at any time to access all of these programs. If you are looking for math practice, the best practice is using real-world problem solving to support your children. No matter their age, they can help you solve problems like the cost of attending concerts, paying for food, or other activities you plan for the summer. Include your kids in these activities and encourage them to use math! These small activities will support your child in being prepared for the new school year.
The 2023-24 school year begins on August 10, 2023. An online Back to School update must be completed annually by all continuing/returning students from the current year and by any new students who are pre-enrolled at one of our schools. An email with directions for completing the online Back to School update will be sent on July 10, 2023 and must be completed by August 1, 2023. The Student Services Department had a busy and productive 2022-23 school year. Some highlights include:
- In conjunction with the Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education Departments, a two- to three-year plan for the Multiple Tiers of Student Support System (MTSS) was created
- A reboot of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) at all four schools
- An across-the-district collaboration on the definition of “High-Quality Core Instruction” (HQ1) or Tier 1 Instruction in the classrooms
- Documentation of our progressive discipline and restorative practices
- Development of social-emotional learning (SEL) focuses as well as the adoption of an SEL curriculum to implement across all classrooms in the 2023-24 school year
