The next school year is already underway with several continued focuses, but also with some new areas. For example, student and staff mental well-being and social-emotional learning will continue. Students will now have access to over eight counselors across the district’s four schools, while continuing to learn and practice CASEL’s five SEL competencies. SVUSD will also continue the work on the MTSS framework where Tiers 2 and 3 of academics, behavior, and SEL student supports are concerned.
